With individual, minimally-invasive, gentle treatments and procedures as well as exclusively metal-free materials, we care for the oral and maxillofacial health and aesthetics. Combining our medical and dental expertise, we are able to highlight the interactions between oral and general health.

Our story

1913

Dr. Hugo Julius Oskar Wenzel passed his state examination in dentistry at the University of Heidelberg in 1913 and, after working in Denmark and Norway, founded a dental practice in Hamburg in 1928. His daughter Inge Wenzel married the Hamburg lawyer Hans Böhrnsen in 1951 and carried on her Danish heritage and passion for medicine in her family.

Her son Volker Böhrnsen graduated in dentistry from the University of Hamburg in 1978 and continued the family's dental tradition in his own practice in Geesthacht, Schleswig-Holstein. He increasingly expanded his traditional dental work to include oral surgery.

Today

Today, Böhrnsen - Zahn|Medizin is continued as an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice with the additional designation for plastic aesthetic surgery by the great-grandson of Dr. Hugo Wenzel, Priv.-Doz. Dr. Dr. Florian Böhrnsen FEBOMS.
